If I can Dream – website documenting the stories of 5 young people chasing their dreams in Hollywood. Set in a Big Brother esque house with cameras everywhere – as the viewer you can go to several of the rooms and choose a camera and be a voyeur. Set within a 3d navigation and with a really nice interface design, you navigate to different areas within a fluid 3d box. One of nicest and smoothest uses of 3D I have ever seen, the 3d doesn’t get in the way of anything and just adds to the whole experience. Loads of attention to detail, I love all the little rollovers and icons, the 3d transitions are amazing. Great design, very complicated build, slick animation, all in all a fantastic looking and very impressive website.

Site challenging everything we know about paper and pulp. Highlighting 3 main projects showing the stages in each of the projects, all showing the need for sustainability and care of our environment. Integrating videos, Twitter, YouTube etc, and allowing Facebook users to comment. Nice and simple interface with really nice animations and look and feel. Users can also follow all updates in the projects via RSS and email.

Website of photographer David Maupilé. Based around a long sheet of folded paper in 3D, with each photograph folded – when clicked camera zooms in and displays photo bigger. Very clean and minimal with a nice navigational interface, well made and looks great! Very cool…

Site promoting the new Nike CP3.III basketball trainers with the help of Chris Paul – basketball player. Slick dark interface, which offers the option to watch Chris Paul in action or check out the trainers. Lots of nice parallax visual effects to give a really cool feeling of depth, love the lens flare effect behind it all – bleaching out your view slightly. Really cool 360 of the shoe and 3d effects on the details. Very slick…

Mega cool, and mega mental promotional site for SoftBank, and what seems like promotional Jelly Beans edition phones! Featuring a 3d environment where jelly beans and the phones float around to music, making up shapes and animating around everywhere. By clicking and dragging a phone, you drag the phone towards you and the rest of the phones carry on doing their own thing. By dragging more you reveal different information about the phone. Really fun and captivating, I really love the drag interactivity, and sitting back to watch all the animation! Really cool…

Portfolio of Danish artist Kenneth Elgaard. Clean and minimal, drag based interactivity – set around a cube with each side a different section of the site. What I like is the way you navigate the portfolio, by dragging along you view the work, and by dragging up and down you zoom in and out. All makes for a fluid, easy to use experience.

Site highlighting Naoki’s range of sportswear - ”NAOKI is a unique sportswear collection designed by NAOKI TAKIZAWA, a designer renowned in the Paris fashion world as the decade-long creative director of ISSEY MIYAKE”. A nicely balanced, clean minimal site, with rotating 3d panels showing the range of clothing. Clicking on one shows an overview where you can smoothly zoom in and out. Nicely designed and executed with some really nice animation and interactivity.

New portfolio site of Hong Kong based agency Pill & Pillow. Very simple with some nice touches, a Flash based, blog esque layout with tags and social content, pulled in from sources such as YouTube. I like the 3d screwed up balls of paper that represent their projects and the way they reveal, also some really nice work in here, lots of experimental work too. Well put together and looks pretty cool and minimal.

Interesting site promoting Verbatim memory. Characters that are made up from memory sticks fight each other in an arena, you can answer a series of questions, each correct answer gives you more memory – in the end creating your character – which you can then use to fight other characters. All in slick 3D, the site is great fun to use, with loads of nice animations and interactivity. Pretty unusual and engaging way of promoting a somewhat boring product!

Interesting site from Orange, which allows you to create remixes of popular songs using your own voice and also encourages collaboration with your friends. Inviting you to record various sounds for different notes, you can also connect through Facebook and invite contacts to also record different notes. It then works by playing these notes in a sequence to a pre defined pattern to make songs, so far only a couple are there. A really funny idea, in the end encouraging you to join the Orange RockCorps collective to do community charity work. The site also looks great, with nice 3d transitions, great look and feel, lots of detail and also highly polished!

Interesting site of Japanese interior design firm, Wonderwall, formed by Masamichi Katayama. Set around an amorphous wall of projects, quite literally a wonder wall, when you rollover the wall it morphs size and position dependant on mouse location. It really is the centre piece of the site, and is really fun to play with. A similar mechanism forms the way you go through photos for each project. Nicely designed, very crisp, but with a fun twist.

Fantastic site promoting HBO and it’s new project, much like the HBO Voyeur, HBO Imagine. Presenting a series of short films all shot from 4 different angles. The mechanism for viewing is a large 3d cube which you drag around to see the 4 different sides. There are several films to explore all through a floaty 3d interface. It is all highly polished with great transitions and animation, love the way you can explore the different videos. All very slick interactivity with interesting films, all directed by Noam Murro, complete a really cool online experience.
