Mexican site promoting Rexona and it’s range of deoderants for men. With each product featuring a 3d scene personifying that product – really cool 3d parallax – with an option to see it with 3d glasses too. Not much more than that – but the effect is really great and the rest of the animation, transitions and so on are spot on very nicely made.

Promoting IBM’s ‘power 7′ systems in South America, by means of an explorable technology lab. Lots of little interactive experiments – all via a first person 3D interface – the best I have yet seen. Really nice look and feel, great interactivity all wrapped up in a simple interface!

Clean, slick, and simple website of Brazilian Creative Director Taua Baccarin. Showcasing his best work in a nicely laid out grid, highlighted by the smooth animation that really brings it all to life. The work is presented nicely in a sideways scrolling contact sheet style. Great combination of nice layout and great animation - good example of portfolio site.

Website of the A/W Collection of Brazilian label of Santa Lolla. Slick animation provides the basis of this site, fast smooth transitions reveal the collection. Using a slideshow function you can sit back and watch, moving the mouse around scrolls the image, a little ‘sand timer’ displaying when the next image will appear is a touch. The thumbnail menu also works really nicely along with the main image, you scroll by mving your mouse up and down. Lots of attention to detail and cool transitions, nicely polished.

Interesting site for ‘The Digital Invaders’, from what I can tell it is offering courses in Flash, design, and so on from the great digital agency Grupo W, all sounds a lot like the Swedish Hyper Island. Set in a large scrollable canvas with amazing animation and drawings explaining what they offer. Loads of detail and animation, really polished and a lot of fun.

vida blackberry

Pretty cool site promoting Blackberry in Brazil. Using Twitter feeds and Flickr images and videos, you can see ‘normal’ people using their Blackberry. These messages, videos, and images scroll by to give you a nice overview of what is possible using Blackberry products. Really nicely produced, lots of slick animations with a clean and crisp visual style. Nice to sit back and let it all roll by.

triton summer secrets

Website promoting Triton’s, Brazilian fashion label, Summer of Secrets website. Inviting you to ‘Discover what lurks in the heart’s of strangers’, by linking to a variety of sites through relevant subjects, shown through a drag and explore panorama of imagery and text snippets. Quite fun and a bit weird, there are some interesting sites they link to and it’s fun to explore the mini sites. Love the animation of the flipping images on the homepage.

energy lab

Website with a great little game which warns you not to ‘touch’ the bottle, promoting from what I can tell a new deoderant. When you click on the bottle it explodes, you then have 5 minutes to put it back together via an ingenious game, similar to the recent 3d game for Pearl Jam. By clicking and dragging a peice of the bottle you can rotate around and find the place it should be in. Really like the intro and the section before you click on the bottle, nice art direction and fantastic execution, great fun.

banana cafe

Brazilian site promoting Banana Cafe clothing. Using the newspaper visual metaphor to display the range of clothing and copy. The nice thing about this is that they have created it all in 3d, using the loading screen to give a brief tutorial on using the interface, you click and drag to move around – with the paper tilting and panning realistically. What I love about it is the level of detail – on top of the paper are 3d objects you can drag around and interact with, they even collide with each other. For example there is a London bus, you click it and then you can drive it around the newspaper, you can click and drag the individual headphones on the iPod, etc etc. When you view the photos they come out of the newspaper and enlarge so you can see them better. Love all the attention to detail and the interactivity, it also happens to look great, really cool site…
